Paper made from blue jeans, hemp, coffee beans…

A San Diego company has been producing tree-free paper since 1992. Based in Kearny Mesa, Greenfield Paper offers numerous lines of innovative, environmentally responsible paper that can be used in ink jet printers as well as full color offset printing.

Their unique and beautiful plantable paper contains wildflower seeds. Instead of heading to the landfill, it is planted in your garden!

Others papers are handmade from discarded junk mail, recycled blue jeans, coffee beans, garlic skins, grape skins from a winery, old clothing, and coconut and corn husks. These inventive papers are created one sheet at a time

They also offer machine-made hemp paper.

Their eco-friendly, artistically created paper has earned Greenfield Paper the Recycler of the Year award from the City of San Diego in 1997, 2007, 2008, 2009 and 2010.
